Induction Requirements
The Scarlet Knights Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) welcomes applicants to join!
Applicants are required to…
- Submit an application (with a reference)
- Attend a group interview process
- Maintain a 2.75 GPA
- Lived at least one semester or are currently living in a campus dorm, suite, or apartment
- Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University
By having these key components, you are demonstrating outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to Rutgers University.
After the group interview process, inductees will be required to complete the Candidate Member Education (CME) canvas module, which prepares inductees for what is expected out of their membership.

Membership Maintenance
If you are selected to join our organization, active membership requires…
- Maintenance of a 2.75 GPA upon induction
- Remain in good academic and judicial standing with the University
- 6 Diamond Dollars per semester (our involvement points system)
- Enrollment into Rutgers University and a Rutgers Residence Hall for at least one semester
- Commitment to NRHH-sponsored active events, such as in-person service and recognition events, and passive events, such as food drives

The opportunities that come from selection include service and recognition projects partnering with organizations like The American Red Cross, Women Aware, The Letter Project, and many more. Additionally, members are awarded diamond dollars for their participation and have the opportunity to earn blue and white honor cords for graduation. Members with extra diamond dollars can exchange them for NRHH merchandise.
